Assign Logical Components to Solution • Assign the logical components to the solution in tab System Group of node via the value help. • Observe that the leading role for the solution determines which of the systems contained in the logical component will be relevant for monitoring. Create Business Scenario • Business Scenarios are created via entries in the tab Structure in node Business Scenarios. • You have to set the business scenario to “Production” if you want to set up Business Process Monitoring for the processes within this business scenario. Set to ‘Production’. Enter scenario name. © 2013 SAP AG. All rights reserved. 8
Create Business Process • Business processes are created via entries in the tab Structure in node Business Processes. • You have to set the business process to “Production” here if you want to set up monitoring for the process. Set to ‘Production’. Enter process name. © 2013 SAP AG. All rights reserved. 9
Create Business Process Step • Business process steps are created via entries in the tab Structure in node <process name>. • To each step you have to assign the logical component where it is executed. Assign Logical Component. Enter process step name. © 2013 SAP AG. All rights reserved. 10
Maintain Process Graphic (1/2) • In node <process name> there is also a tab Component View available. • This is the only place where you can change the layout and design of the process graphic. You can change size and color of the boxes and the text font. 1. Right mouse click on the box Mark the business process step and drag & drop to change the size 2. Click on ‘Properties’ 3. Maintain Process Graphic (2/2) • Process Flows (logical flows and interfaces) are created in the process graphic in node <process name> in tab Component View. • The arrows in the graphic are created via right mouse click. Asynchronous lines leave or enter the step boxes at the top or bottom, synchronous lines at the sides. There is no cross relevance to the interface technique. The interface might still be assigned any interface technique, independent of its status in the graphic. 1. Right mouse click on the “sender” step. 2. Load Monitor Definitions Check if the monitor definitions from your monitored system have been loaded recently. If not, load them. Go to node <solution name> Logical Components. © 2013 SAP AG. All rights reserved. 14
Create Monitoring Object on Logical Component Level Create monitoring objects for data collection. Note: Monitoring objects for alerting cannot be created on logical component level, but only on step level.
