Definition In fiction, the settings include the time, location, and everything in which the story progresses, and start the main background and mood for a story
ROLE OF SETTING In each story is given, arrangements can serve a single purpose or may develop a story in different ways. Settings can provide an overview of the environmental character 'which offers insight into a number of relevant issues in the text. Paying attention to the setting will often allow the reader to understand why characters act as they did.
Example of paragraph: Bawang Merah and Bawang Putih Once upon a time in a village lived a family consisting of father, mother and a beautiful teenage girl named Bawang Putih. They are a happy family. Although Bawang Putih’s dad just ordinary traders, but they live in harmony and peace. But one day Bawang Putih mother was seriously ill and eventually died. Bawang Putih is very sad as well as his father.
