Rev 2. Alignment Adhoc Report to Session #58 802. 16 Relay TG Meeting held on 10 -14 November, 2008, at Dallas, USA 10 November, 2008 Gamini Senarath for Rev. 2 Alignment Adhoc Team 2

Tasks Assigned to the Adhoc Team 1) Initial task assigned to Rev 2 adhoc established in Meeting #55 was to submit a contribution that shows how P 802. 16 j should be amended to align with Rev 2 draft at that time (Rev 2/D 5) (task completed). 2) In meeting #56, the Rev 2 alignment task was extended so that it also has to continue to monitor changes in future Rev 2 drafts (D 6, D 7, etc) and provide alignment updates (task completed). 3) In Meeting #57, the adhoc team was requested to provide a Rev 2 alignment comment set whenever the Rev 2/D 7 draft is issued so that, prior to Meeting #58, editorial board can include those comments and submit the document to the EC as document aligned with Rev 2/D 7. Progress Meeting #57 progress: • The contribution submitted to #55 has been approved with minor modifications – it aligned Rev 2/D 6 with the 16 j/D 6 draft Progress of work after Meeting #57 • • • Submitted a contribution on 19 th October to the 16 j management team to complete the alignment with Rev 2/D 7 (Rev 2/D 7 was issued on 03 rd October). – 115 Comments. – These comments have already been incorporated into 16 j/D 7. Prepared a contribution 08/168 to complete the alignment with Rev 2/D 7 (this contains some items we missed to incorporate in the October 19 th submission. – Only 25 Rev 2 alignment comments. 6 Editorial comments. – This submission has not been fully reviewed by the adhoc team. – Adhoc team will finalize this document by EOB 12 th Wednesday. In the mean time, comments from TG members are kindly requested prior to Wednesday 12. 00 noon.

Recommendations by the adhoc: • • Approve latest revision of 08/168. Further modifications would be carried out during the meeting. The final revision is expected to be provided on Wednesday. TG members are requested to review the comments and provide input prior to Wednesday 12. 00 noon. Please provide inputs to Gamini and Ken who will discuss them within the Rev 2 adhoc team.

Next Steps: Further alignment work: • • Since we have already aligned with Rev 2/D 7, further alignment work would depend on Rev 2 approval process. In meeting #58, TG should discuss further alignment work if there is any, based on Rev 2 approval process and 16 j approval process.
