Background A song that paints a picture of judgment While not literal, it provokes a thought that ought to weigh heavily upon us if it were true. Do you want to be responsible for any lost soul?

Vs. 1 – Reminder of Judgment “When in a better land, before the bar we stand…” There will be a day of judgment Acts 17: 30 -31, 2 Cor. 5: 9 -10, Rom. 14: 10 -12

Vs. 1 – Reminder of Judgment “How deeply grieved our souls may be…” Are we seeking that Are we concerned about one lost soul? our neighbors? 2 Cor. 5: 11, Many will reject the truth Col. 22: 14 1: 28 -29 Matt. 20: 16, But not all!

Vs. 1 – Reminder of Judgment “If any lost one there should cry in deep despair…” What a sad thought! What are we doing about it? Acts 20: 26 -27, 1 Cor. 9: 22

Vs. 2– Let us spread the word “O let us spread the word where’r it may be heard…” It is a COMMAND! Mark 16: 15, 2 Tim. 2: 2 1 Pet. 3: 15 Ezek. 33: 8

Conclusion: How sad to contemplate such a scene. Remember that someone took time to tell you! Will you return the favor? (cf. Rom. 1: 14)

Conclusion: But there is an even sadder thought of judgment that we do not want to face… Will God say to us, “You never mentioned Me to him”?

Can He count on you and me to reach the lost?
