Sepam series 10 Proprietary current sensors CRa CRb
Sepam series 10 Proprietary current sensors CRa, CRb, CSa, CSB
Use of RM 6/SFset proprietary sensors CRa, CRb, CSa CSb ● RM 6 and SFset use specific current sensors initially developed to be used with VIP range relays. ● CRa : 200 A/1 A rated for RM 6 ● CRb : 1250 A/1 A rated for RM 6 ● CSa : 200 A/1 A rated for SFset ● CSb : 1250 A/1 A rated for SFset ● As they were developed for VIP range only, these sensors were not classified in accordance to the standards : they don't have any classification like 5 P 20 for IEC or C 20/C 50. ● These sensors can be used with Sepam series 10 with some restrictions Schneider Electric - Division - Name – Date 2
Use of RM 6/SFset proprietary sensors CRa, CRb, CSa CSb ● CT behavior Measured Current Linear region ISC ● CT has a linear region where secondary current is the exact image of primary current ● Above this region, CT will saturate and become non linear ● CT must only be used in the linear region Schneider Electric - Division - Name – Date 3
Use of RM 6/SFset proprietary sensors CRa, CRb, CSa CSb ● Condition of use with Sepam series 10 : 50/51 IDMT and long delay DT curves CRa CRb CSa CSb 50 N/51 N 49 No restriction except Is < 1, 2 In. CT ( thermal capability of CT) Only for network with short circuit current < 18 k. A Due to non linear region, operating time isn’t warranted over 18 k. A and Is < 1, 2 In. CT : ( thermal capability of CT) Schneider Electric - Division - Name – Date OK OK 4
