Sense Verbs * We use sense verbs + like + noun in descriptions. * We use: Feel / look / Smell / Sound / taste + noun to say how something appears to us • ( fazer um comentário) • E. G. 1 - The singer sounded like a cat.
*E. G. 2 - This place looks like a dump. *E. G. 3 - Mmmm! It smells like coffee!
The girl is wearing old fashioned clothes. She feels like an old lady. She looks like an old lady.
E. G. 4 - This drink tastes like strawberries. Oral Exercise: 1 - There is a loud noise in the sky. (a storm) It sounds like a storm 2 - You see smoke above a forest. ( a fire) It looks like a fire.
