Mental Maths Games: What number am I? 3 variations 1. Call out clues to a number and your child guesses the number. Then swap and allow them to call out the clues. e. g. I am more than 5 and less than 10, I am the double of 4, I am an even number, I am in between 7 and 9, I am 2 more than 6… What am I? I am 8. 2. Think of a number in your head. Child asks questions (opposite of first game. ) Reply with YES/NO only to questions. Then swap and allow your child to think of a number and ask them questions. e. g. How to play: o Deal each player five cards. o Place the stack of remaining cards face down in the middle of the table. o This is the “Go Fish” pile. o Look for pairs in your hand that make 10.
