Good day. Welcome to self-reflection! Goodness is innate in humans - however, the daily grind leaves little time for us to relate with it / our own self. This self-reflection is an attempt to connect with oneself, and being aware of one’s connect with society and nature. The incidents / anecdotes / situations and the questions that follow, are to help the process - kindly fill-in the response boxes with your thoughts (for each of the posers) and feel free to save them for future reference / reflections. A doctor entered the hospital in hurry after being called in for an urgent surgery. He found the boy’s father pacing in the hall, waiting for the doctor. The father yelled: “Why did you take all this time to come? Don’t you know that my son’s life is in danger? Don’t you have any sense of responsibility? ” The doctor replied; “I am so sorry! I was not in the hospital and I came as soon as I received the call. Now I request you to calm down so that I can do my work. ” ”Calm down? What if your son was in this state, would you calm down? If your own son dies now would you calm down? ” asked the father angrily. The doctor smiled and said, “Doctor’s cannot prolong life. We will do our best. ” “Giving advices is very easy”, murmured the father. The doctor proceeded for the surgery. The surgery took some hours after which doctor came out happily. “Your son is saved. If you have any doubts you may ask the nurse”. Saying this, the doctor went away. www. vset. org

“Why is the doctor so arrogant? He can’t even wait for few minutes so that I can ask about my son’s state” commented the father on seeing the nurse. The nurse answered; “His son died yesterday in a road accident. He was in his son’s burial when we called him. Now that he has saved your son’s life, he has rushed back to finish his son’s burial”.
