Selection procedures Offers are made after any of the following selection procedures: Submission of the UCAS form (GCSE results, A Level predictions and reference, personal statement) Interview which may include written tests Admissions tests
Admissions tests Some universities test candidates as part of the interview process There also pre-interview tests in a number of disciplines, used to shortlist candidates for interview The most common of these tests are the LNAT, BMAT and UCAT
National Admissions Test for Law (LNAT) www. lnat. ac. uk LNAT required for: Bristol, Durham, Glasgow, King’s College London, LSE, Nottingham, Oxford, SOAS, UCL Used in different ways by different universities 30 multiple choice (critical thinking skills) and 40 minute essay Test of fundamental intellectual skills, not knowledge of the law Online registration: responsibility of the student Can be taken from September
