SEEK JESUS IN 2018 “Whom do you seek? ” (John 18: 4)

Seekers find what they are seeking. • “… ask and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. ” Luke 11: 9

Be on guard for subtle deceptions. • Jesus admonished a crowd about seeking Him for the wrong reasons (John 6: 24 -27). • Paul warned Christians about man-made religious practices not from God (Colossians 2: 18 -19, 23). • Paul instructed Timothy to preach God’s word in view of believers turning away from the truth (2 Timothy 4: 3 -4).

Seek Jesus the truth. • “… grace and truth came to be through Jesus Christ… But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God… If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, … I am the way, and the truth, and the life; … Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth… Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice. ” John 1: 17; 3: 21; 8: 31 -32; 14: 6; 17: 17; 18: 37
