Project Assignment • Your assignment is to use the statistical methods taught in this course to explore an interesting question about a certain population. 1. Clearly identify the population of interest, the parameter of interest and state your hypotheses (or that you will estimate the parameter with an interval). 2. Describe and use a valid sampling method and show the sample data gathered. 3. Show the use of appropriate statistical math to answer your question based on the sample data. 4. Clearly state your conclusions with any appropriate qualifications. 5. Give an oral report of your work. • You may work in a group of no more than 4 students

Details • You must prepare a Power. Point presentation that describes your work and deliver it orally to the class. The file is due via email at 6: 00 p. m. on Sunday May 20. • Oral presentations begin May 21. • Your report should be submitted on paper when you give your oral presentation. – There is no set minimum or maximum size – Submit one paper group

Evaluation The main scoring components are: 1. Did you choose an appropriate, interesting and non-trivial question? 2. Does the design of your study/experiment reflect the concepts we have studied? 3. Describe your methodology and show the data collected in detail. 4. Show the mathematical analysis of your data and state your conclusion(s). 5. Prepare and deliver a presentation to the class that shows your project.
