Problem presentation People don’t always know what to buy in the grocery store/supermarket to sustain a healthy, balanced and varied diet. In the process of trying to figure out what they should buy, they lose time.
The customers Younger people who might live alone and who do not have much cooking experience - For example students and young workers People who don’t have a healthy and varied diet, but would like to have one
Objectives of the customers Eat healthier Have a varied diet Save time on finding a product Get cooking experience
What prevents the customers from achieving their objectives? They don’t have the experience to: - Cook - Know what to buy to sustain a healthy diet Some people are too lazy to deal with a healthy diet
Existing alternatives Magazines and websites that provide information about healthy food and how to sustain a varied diet Apps that contaon healthy recipes Television – cooking shows Food advisers Food supplements Books
Why the solutions haven’t worked Food advisers are expensive Not everyone has the time to read magazines, books, websites and watch TV shows People are often lazy to deal with a healthier diet Food supplements don’t replace a healthy diet
Why is this problem so hard to solve? Diet is a personal thing (what’s healthy for one person might not be so for another person), so one might actually need a personalized diet that fits his/her needs
