ECCLESIASTES 2: 10 10 I denied myself nothing my eyes desired; I refused my heart no pleasure. My heart took delight in all my labor, and this was the reward for all my toil.

LIFE IS OUT OF CONTROL: Undisciplined pursuit of more.

THE ANSWER IS: Disciplined pursuit of less.

ECCLESIASTES 2: 10 10 I denied myself nothing my eyes desired; I refused my heart no pleasure. My heart took delight in all my labor, and this was the reward for all my toil.

I KINGS 9: 1 9 When Solomon had finished building the temple of the LORD and the royal palace, and had achieved all he had desired to do.

ECCLESIASTES 2: 11 11 Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done and what I had toiled to achieve, everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind; nothing was gained under the sun.

THREE WAYS: 1. You have to decide who matters most.

ECCLESIASTES 8: 15 15 So I commend the enjoyment of life, because there is nothing better for a person under the sun than to eat and drink and be glad. Then joy will accompany them in their toil all the days of the life God has given them under the sun.

THREE WAYS: 2. You need to clear out and cut back.

ECCLESIASTES 4: 6 6 Better one handful with tranquility than two handfuls with toil and chasing after the wind.

THREE WAYS: 3. You need to choose quality over quantity.

ECCLESIASTES 1: 8 8 All things are wearisome, more than one can say. The eye never has enough of seeing, nor the ear its fill of hearing.
