Scott Flanagans Building Blocks Sew Along Longmont Quilt
Scott Flanagan’s Building Blocks Sew Along Longmont Quilt Guild March, 9, 2021
Introduction In May 2020, Scott Flanagan, from 4 th and Main Designs, started the “Building Blocks Sampler" Quilt Along. It was a 12 -week skill-building program, with new pattern sections being released every two weeks. The Quilt Along was a great COVID project, and several Guild members decided to make the quilt. Lori King set up a private Facebook group so that we could post pictures and encourage each other throughout the process. Scott even joined our group! Tonight we present pictures of the group’s quilts (finished and still in progress). This is a great example of how many different looks can be created from one pattern. Thanks to Scott and the Sampler Group for all of your support. Scott, get well soon! We look forward to seeing you in person in 2022!

Donna Lehr <insert picture> Scott Flanagan’s Building Blocks Made from my Kansas Troubles stash. Quilted by Shooting Starr Quilting of Berthoud (Longmont Quilt Guild member Emily Carder).
Terry Hellmer <insert picture> Scott Flanagan’s Building Blocks This quilt was fun to make and challenging to quilt. It was quilted on my domestic machine. The photo was taken before the binding was put on. It has a Peek-A-Boo binding. The binding is made from the navy grunge in the quilt and the flange is made from the cranberry fabric.
Nancy Clair <insert picture> Scott Flanagan’s Building Blocks I made it with all scraps except the outside red border and backing. It was very fun to do, especially when I could not get to shops! It was quilted by Donna Smith.

Teresa Creech <insert picture> Scott Flanagan’s Building Blocks I needed a smaller size quilt to have here at the house for a new grand baby arriving this summer. I am going to use the remaining blocks, plus my leftover fabrics, to make a fun backing.

Susan Erickson <insert picture> Scott Flanagan’s Building Blocks My version of Scott's Building Blocks was quilted by our very talented Donna Smith of “Quilted for You” Half the fun of this project was seeing everyone’s version.
Thank you to Scott for such a fun Sew Along!
