SCIENCE HOMEWORK INHERITANCE By Eleanor O’Connell
INTRODUCTION Certain traits are passed on from your parents via their genes. The DNA is passed on to an embryo from both the mother and father. The mother and father will have genes passed on from their parents and this goes back for generation upon generation.
PARENTS AND ELEANOR These are my parents. I have a lot in common with my Dad but not so much with my Mum. All I have the same as my mum is that I have the same personality and we are both sensitive (but this isn’t inherited). Me and my Dad both have the same hair colour , the same eye colour (greeny blue), the same ear lobes and the same nose.
ELEANOR AND LITTLE SIS This is my little sister we look a lot alike but we do not have the same personality. Although we both have a mischievous side to us we both have the same kindness to each other. We both have the same smile, colour of hair, colour of eyes (greeny blue).
MUM’S SIDE OF THE FAMILY This is my grandma (the left) my nanna (the right) and my mum (beside me) this is my Mums side of the family I don’t really have anything in common with them but my Mum has a lot of things in common with them. She has the same jaw line, nose and ears.
MY GRANNIE AND GRANDAD This my grannie and granddad on my Dads side of the family. I don’t really have much in common with my grannie. But my grandad however looks very similar to my dad so I look a lot like my grandad. Including his tallness his eye colour his nose and earlobes.
WHO DO I LOOK ALIKE? Well these people I all have things in common with or the most in common with so I think I have proven my point here. Everybody has things in common with their parents except if your adopted thanks for reading!!!!!!!!
