EVERYDAY WHEN YOU WALK IN… • You must leave your backpack in the hallway

EVERYDAY WHEN YOU WALK IN… • You must leave your backpack in the hallway • Bring your notebook and a writing utencil • Once you are in the classrom the first thing you need to to is to grab your folder • When you leave the classroom you must put your folder back in its place • In this folder you will put samples of your work throughout the year • This folder will be reviewed by the Secretaria de Educacion Publica (SEP)

DAILY QUIZZES • Students will be quizzed on a daily basis. Quizzes are based on the previous lesson and/or homework • Everyday when you walk into the classroom you will be expected to: • • Go to your assigned table Grab your folder Grab your “quiz” sheet Take your daily quiz • You will have up to 10 minutes to finish your quiz (from the moment that the bell rings) • These 10 minutes include the time you take to get set up (including walking into the classroom, settling into your place, sharpening your pencil etc) and take your quiz. • No extra time will be given to finish the quiz • These daily quizzes will be part of your grade • The three lowest grades will be dropped

BE ON TIME • By the time that the bell rings students are expected to: • Be sitting down • Have materials ready • Be prepared to take the daily quiz • Students that are late: • Will not be allowed to take the daily quiz and will receive a zero for that day's quiz • Must fill in a “late form” while you wait outside • Will be allowed into the classroom after the quiz is finished and after the student hands in the “late form” • If you have an acceptable excuse for being late (ex: if you were talking to a teacher you must ask this teacher to give you a note): • You will stay outside until the quiz is finished • You will still have to fill out the “late form” and hand it in • You will be allowed to take the quiz during recess. If the student fails to come to the classroom at this time, he/she will receive a zero

BE ON TIME • Note: • Since we do not currently have a bell system in place, the teacher's ipad will be set up to go off at the time class starts. If you walk into the classroom after the ipad goes off, you will not be allowed in and will be considered to be late. • This system will be implemented until the school's bell system is in place

LATE HOMEWORK/ASSIGNMENTS • Homework must be turned in at the beginning of class or

LATE HOMEWORK/ASSIGNMENTS • Homework must be turned in at the beginning of class or when the teacher asks for it • If it is turned in at any other time (even if it is during the same school day) the assignment will be considered to be late • Late assignments will automatically receive a 25% off your grade • Late assignments turned in after two days will receive a 50% off your grade • Late assignments will not be accepted after three days • Homework will be part of your grade

NEAT ASSIGNMENTS • The teacher will not accept homework or assignments that are not

It is your responsibility to grab them! • The amount of time you’ll have to turn in your assignments will be proportional to the amount of time you were gone (example: If you miss one day, you will have one day to turn your assignments in. If you miss 3 days you will have three days to turn them in etc. ) Late homework/assignments policy still applies • If you miss school and have an acceptable excuse, you will be allowed to take your daily quizzes during recess. However, it is your responsibility to ask the teacher for your quiz. If you fail to do this, you will receive a zero on those quizzes (But remember that the three lowest grades will be dropped. So you can choose not to take the quizzes)

BATHROOM AND EATING RULES • You will be allowed to go to the bathroom

BATHROOM AND EATING RULES • You will be allowed to go to the bathroom ONCE a week only (during science class) • Remember that you have 10 minutes in between 2 nd and 3 rd period so use that time to go to the bathroom. If you are hungry, use these 10 minutes to eat something quick • Students may go to the bathroom one at a time • You will not be allowed to go to the bathroom during quizzes, tests or lectures.

THE USE OF IPADS AND CELLPHONES • You may not use ipads and/or cellphones

THE USE OF IPADS AND CELLPHONES • You may not use ipads and/or cellphones unless the teacher asks you to do so • You must keep all ipads/cellphones in your backpack or inside the cubbies • If caught using ipads/cellphones, the teacher will take them and will not give it back until the end of the day

KEEP THE CLASSROOM CLEAN AND DO NOT WASTE MATERIAL • Anyone caught throwing trash

The student still needs to fill out a ¨discipline form¨
