Muon reconstruction • Estimate of tracking efficiency – Extrapolate MRD track to Sci. Bar, and look for Sci. Bar track – Eff. ~97% with real data (97. 6% w/ MC) – Inefficiency due to: • Wrong matching of 2 D tracks (X and Y): ~2% • Track not reconstructed in Sci. Bar: ~1%
Sci. Bar+MRD matching criteria • Matching b/w Sci. Bar tracks and MRD tracks or hits – Dx <20 cm, Dy<20 cm@MRD 1 st layer – Dqx<0. 5 rad, Dqy<0. 5 rad (for MRD 3 D only) • Require track contained inside MRD • Veto Sci. Bar 1 st layer to reject incoming tracks from upstream • Vertex inside fiducial: – 260 cm x 260 cm, layer 2 -53 – 9. 38 t
Muon reconstruction • Add MRD first layer matched events – Lower muon momentum threshold: 600 Me. V–> 400 Me. V Oct. -Dec. data Reconstructed muon momentum MRD 3 D MRD 1 L
Efficiency (MC) • En threshold is ~ 0. 5 Ge. V All interactions MRD 1 L only Ratio of above 2 histograms Eff. for all interaction: 9. 4%
Efficiency… • En threshold is improved ~ 0. 2 Ge. V • ~ 10 % increase in higher energy region • Total efficiency: 44. 0% (for CCQE: 70. 3%) MRD 3 D only All interactions MRD 3 D + 1 L Ratio (3 D+1 L)
MRD 1 L? ? Most of “MRD-1 L” events have hits in second layer with eye-scan!
Track counting • Not well understood yet… MRD 3 D + MRD 1 L, Oct. -Dec. data
>How many 2 track events of CC-QE can be used for the oscillation analysis? • Currently, ~1000 events (for Oct. -Feb. full data) – And ~3500 “ 1 track CC-QE” events!
