Initial Research Question ”Are some schools better suited for the integration of technology than others? ”

Why I chose this? • Both parents are in the education system • Curious as to why some schools received certain technology • It seemed like an interesting topic overall

First Step • I tried to begin broad and look at the overall picture • This graph was one of my main points • “Why aren’t the categories all at 100%? ”

Second Step • Tried to look and find a solution to my question • Looked at obvious reason: Budget

Third Step • Looked specifically at 2 states: New Jersey, Minnesota • 2 are polar opposites in budgets • Examined the test results of the states

Fourth Step • Examined a different possible solution • Found surveys asking teachers their preference of technology in the classroom • 90% of teachers agree technology is beneficial

Fifth Step • Reevaluated my initial research question • Created a new one: “Why do some schools integrate technology in their everyday learning more than others? ” • Acknowledges trend but still addresses the study

Benefits • Allowed me to expand better my research skills, while also learning more about my topic • Perhaps, my blog posts could benefit researchers in the education field or maybe even researchers in economics looking for trends
