Nursery places Nursery admissions work differently to Reception Children can start Nursery the term

Nursery places Nursery admissions work differently to Reception Children can start Nursery the term after their 3 rd birthday- September, January and April intakes. Some children have as many as 5 terms in Nursery, some as few as 3 terms depending on their date of birth. School progress analysis shows that children who attend nursery and stay through the whole EYFS with us make better progress than those who change setting between F 1 and F 2 Application forms are available from the school office for Nursery- we would encourage that you visit the school for a tour and a discussion with the Head/Nursery staff We offer 8, 30 hour places as part of the new Government scheme but don’t want to expand as it may ‘shut out’ childrena nd families who are born later in the academic year Our Nursery can offer 26 places in the AM and 26 in the PM (8 at 30 hours and 18 in each session). We also offer extra sessions at a cost unless it affects a statutory place for another child (e. g. we will have spaces up to Christmas for this and maybe a few after Christmas, very unlikely after Easter). If parents are able to take a 30 hour placement and we have filled all 8 of our 30 hour places they may choose to attend our Nursery for 15 hours and another setting for the other 15.
