SCAMPER

SCAMPER is a technique you can use to spark your creativity. It is an acronym. Every letter stands for a new way to think. On the next slides, you will see what each letter stands represents. This process was created by Bob Eberle in the 1970 s.

S - Substitute • Remove some part of the item, or idea and replace it with something else. Substitute the laces for velcro.

C-Combine • Join or force together two or more elements of your item or idea. • + = • + =

A- Adapt • Change some part of your problem so that it works better than it did before. I adapted the bike to make it work better by changing regular bike tires into tires for a mountain bike.

M-Modify • Change the attributes of the item. Attributes include: size, shape, texture, color, attitude, and so on. I modified the car by • making it longer. • I modified the i. Pads by changing the colors.
