Saying Goodbye
The Not-so-good stuff • The storyboard wasn’t clear. • The script wasn’t clear. • We more or less had to improvise the entire film. • Spent more time looking for a car as we’re not legal to drive or neither of us have a car. • Wasn’t enough diologue at the beginning so we changed it so we had more narration (we later changed this because no matter what we wanted to do, it wouldn’t of looked great). • Due to the paperwork not being clear, we struggled to gain an understanding of the film and what the group expected to see.
The Enjoyable Stuff • We learnt how to deal with things under pressure. • The synopsis that our group was given was clear and gave us a good understanding of what the story was truly about. • It gave us an opportunity and understanding of compromising and sharing ideas with others. • It was fun as we got to take turns working the equipment and learn more camera and editing skills.
In conclusion • We liked the idea/concept of the film. • We wish the paperwork was a lot more clear so that we could’ve produced a film that was closer to what the group wanted. • We learnt how to work in a group and take other’s ideas. • Overall, we’re proud of what we’ve got and this is how close we could get to what they wanted. Despite the poor paperwork, as a group, we worked as hard as we could for our film to look and sound great.
