GENESIS o o Rural women’s suffering is three fold: caste based discrimination, gender based discrimination and utter poverty Adv. Ekanath Awad created awareness in Marathwada region of Maharashtra through Rural Development Centre (RDC). Women’s from different villages of Bid district of Maharashtra asserted their participation and formed group Savitribai Phule Mahila Mandal to bring gender issue at core. Savitribai Phule Mahila Mandal (SPMM), started its full function since 1988 -89.

MISSION Marginalized communities are mobilized and organized – o To access productive resource like land water, knowledge, skills and finance for sustaining their livelihood o To engage them effectively in decision making and governance process and o To ensure opportunities for women in socioeconomic and political spheres.
