If we just sit and do nothing about it. Follow these tips to save over $2000 a year per residence while reducing your emissions to the atmosphere and help reduce global warming. 1. How To Save $2, 000 or more per Year per Residence (or Business): 2. Turn off (or even better, unplug) electric appliances 1. (consider a power strip, connect several appliances and then turn off the strip when not in use). 2. Use a regular phone instead of cordless phones if possible 3. Turn off water faucet, 1. Take shower not baths, 2. Change shower head to 2. 5 G per minute 4. Clean air-conditioning filters 5. (it saves electricity, and it’s good for your health) 6. 4. Tune-up car, keep balanced, Accelerate minimum only. 7. *This can increase the MPG by an extra 10 Miles/gallon 5. Turn down Water heater, and Air Conditioner settings Use sheets instead of blankets Scientific consensus is that human activity, mainly carbon dioxide emissions, is causing global warming. Check the labels carefully. Choose LCD over Plasma TV! Choose a gas stove or drier. 5. Choose Fiberglass over concrete swimming pools. 6. Choose a laptop over a PC, uses 1/3 energy. Consider buying a small car. Even better: Buy a Hybrid car, you’ll save hundreds in gasoline, it will make up for the price difference in a couple of years. Consider wind or solar power for your home or business. Use silicone or dark baking pans, (they bake at 325 o. F not 350 o. F) Buy a reusable plastic or cloth coffee filter Buy Rechargeable Batteries: they save ~$100 per battery! Global warming is affecting climate all over the world.
