SAS (Statistical Analysis System) is a software suite developed by SAS Institute for advanced analytics, data management, business intelligence, and predictive analytics. SAS is the largest market-share holder for advanced analytics.
SAS was built up at North Carolina State University from 1966 until 1976. This was when the SAS Institute was incorporated. SAS was further built up in the 1980 s and 1990 s with the addition of new statistical procedures, additional components, and the unveiling of JMP. A point-and-click interface was built in version 9 in 2004. Also, a social media analytics product was added in 2010.
SAS originally stood for "Statistical Analysis System", which as the name indicates was applied for Statistical analysis. Today, it has bloomed to become an omnipresent Business Intelligence (BI) tool which is used for Data analysis, reporting, data mining, predictive modelling, and econometric and time series analysis. This is almost anything and everything related to Data Analytics.
SAS dominates on overwhelming market share in the advanced analytics tools. SAS has a 35% market share, more than double its closest competitor. SAS has been around for more than 45 years and is now synonymous with Analytics. SAS Training in Hyderabad
