SANDRA ISAKA Consultant Sandra Isaka is an intercultural consultant and Japan travel specialist with Alpine International. She uses her extensive knowledge, background and passion to introduce Japanese culture to those whose experience with it is just beginning. Earlier in her career Sandra taught English in the Japanese countryside. She was privileged to enjoy complete acceptance as a part of her community, and continues to be granted access to places few foreigners, and most Japanese, ever go. Sandra's deep understanding and appreciation for the Japanese people and their culture is why she excels at her role in sharing her knowledge through excursions, presentations and lectures. Sandra works with organizations such as the Tokyo American Club, with which she has enjoyed a long relationship as member of the Women's Group Tour Committee. Her unabated enthusiasm about her life in Japan is infectious and is well received by those she comes in contact with. After living and working in the countryside of Japan for over 10 years, Sandra met her husband moved to Tokyo. Traveling is their passion, and they constantly explore this country, as Sandra photographs and writes about their experiences along the way. With over 20 years under her belt and plans to live here permanently. Sandra's ultimate goal is to become the world's foremost expert on travel within Japan. B.
