Sanctification 1 Thessalonians 5: 12 -22

What is God’s Will? n “For this is the will of God, your sanctification…” 1 Thess. 4: 3 n “The Lord is…patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. ” 2 Peter 3: 9

Sanctification! n Means: “Set Apart” … for His purposes. n “Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things, and we exist for Him; ” 1 Cor. 8: 6

Sanctification! n “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. ” Romans 12: 2

Sanctification! “Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass. ” 1 Thes. 5: 23 -24

Sanctification! n “Just as it is written, ‘Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, and which have not entered the heart of man, all that God has prepared for those who love Him. ’” 1 Cor. 2: 9

Sanctifying One Another “And we urge you, brethren, admonish the unruly, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with all men. . . ” 1 Thes. 5: 14 -15

Sanctifying One Another: Controlling Anger “See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek after that which is good for one another and for all men. ” 1 Thes. 5: 15

Sanctification: Growing Together n “but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him, who is the head, even Christ. ” Ephes. 4: 15
