Program Overview • NROTC Preparatory Program (NPP) offers a university-funded preparatory year designed to improve students’ academic and life skills - Help students successfully face the challenges associated with NROTC • Host universities and Navy are committed to enhancing educational foundation for students who may lack competitive standardized test scores - Still show great potential via grades, character, and community involvement

Program Benefits • Year-long scholarship to USD or SDSU - Tuition, room, and board

Admission Requirements • U. S. citizen • At least 17 but not 22 at beginning of college academic year • Must meet physical fitness standards • Must complete New Student Indoctrination (NSI) prior to beginning program • Must be admitted to USD/SDSU

Program Requirements • Tier 1 or 2 (STEM) major • Maintain > 2. 80
