Membership 2020 Accomplishments � Western Zone Open Water Championship September 2019 (hosted in Coronado)

Membership 2020 Accomplishments � Western Zone Open Water Championship September 2019 (hosted in Coronado) � Spring Sectionals (hosted by NCA) for the 4 th time � Don Watkinds Scholarship money used to assist Outreach members during pandemic � ~ $25, 000 LSC funds provided to teams to assist during pandemic � COVID response team ran for almost 6 months to assist with communication to community, teams, and membership � 80% of swimmers were able to return to training by July 1 st � Virtual athlete leadership summit held over Labor Day weekend � Ian Carsten Scholarship Award established � Leap 3 Achieved by LSC

2020 – 2021 Programs: Investment in our Recovery and Future � Focus programs in four areas: � � Membership Coaches Clubs Officials � Funding Request (i. e. , budget amount) for programs ~ $25, 000 � Develop detailed plan by January when (hopefully) there is a better understanding of when a more normal return to competition occurs � May request additional funds for mental health support for athletes and coaches through year � Commitments: � Will continue to provide funds for national travel meets in summer including Olympic Trials (assuming these are held as planned) � Will provide assistance to swimmers attending to Zones (planned for Oregon) � Will have a version of the CRP program for clubs; timing of program and amounts agreed by BOD in January � Will look to participate in USA swimming programs as they return
