General Facts • Located in one of San Diego’s more popular tourist spot, Balboa Park. • The museum has hundreds of events a year ranging from workshops to huge art exhibits. • And about 250, 000 people annual visit this art museum.

Art • Some of the highlights of their galleries are mid 1000 s and from artists who studied or lived in Paris. • Also have famous art pieces made in San Diego, like the La Jolla Cove by Alfred R. Mitchell.

Biggest Events • Most of their big events are scattered throughout the year. • Their biggest fundraiser and art gallery is “Art Alive” in April consisting of tons of floral art work. • And they are apart of balboa park’s most popular attraction year to year, December Nights.

Reflection • The San Diego Art museum is a very fascinating place. Not only does it have fantastic artwork from around the globe but also has a very prideful San Diegan aspect, holding various San Diego artworks. Not only does this museum respect and show all different types of art but also try and get people involved with art as much as possible. This virtual trip truly lets me see how much an art museum does in order to give back to the community.
