Scene Opening (Persuasive Paper; Owning a dog--Pro) You are running along a path through the woods, but you are not alone. However, rather than feeling worried about this, you are filled with joy. At the end of the path, your companion jumps up and licks your face--and it's wonderful. That is because your companion is a dog, and he seems to unconditionally adore you. In addition to providing loyal companionship, owning a dog can teach responsibility, and can even give you interesting social opportunities.
