SALES RETREAT 2017
Brief Product Overview Features and Benefits Challenges Product Progression Where have we been? Where are we going? Selling the Sentinel Knowing Selling the competition the benefits The Future of Sentinel Looking to 2019 and beyond
SENTINEL Features Proven flowmeter technology. ARAG electromagnetic flowmeters have been a standard in our fertilizer systems. We now offer this accuracy on a row to row basis. Flowmeters read by product conductivity. Few products are incompatible. No moving parts. Low failure rate. Plumbing options for manifold and isolated feed. Flowmeter outlet sized accordingly. ¼” quick connect up to ½” hose barb.
SENTINEL Overview Sentinel is a row-to-row flow and blockage monitoring system. Sentinel flowmeters are in “banks” of 4. Sentinel is a stand-alone product. It can be used with any liquid fertilizer application system. Sentinel flow range: 10 -200 oz/min. Sentinel accuracy is 0. 5% of full output. *200 oz/min @ 0. 5% is 1 oz. Alarm points are set by the user at a percentage above and below desired rate.
SENTINEL Overview VISIO Sentinel ISO Sentinel Up to 16 rows per controller Up to 64 row monitoring Can be used with ALL liquid fertilizer systems ISO compatible controller needed Customizable screen display Small display will not “clutter” cab
SENTINEL ADVANTAGES What are some of the benefits of having this information available? More immediate notification of high, low or no-flow situations More accurate than red-ball monitoring systems Empowers the grower to “keep their thumb” on input costs
SENTINEL CHALLENGES What are some of the possible “side effects” of having this information available? Potential for a heightened sense of paranoia Producers will want to strive for perfection across all rows IS PERFECTION OBTAINABLE?
Product Progression 2015 2016 2017 Visio Sentinel Testing of ISO Sentinel Limited Release of ISO Sentinel
2016 ISO Sentinel Limited Release
What did we Learn in 2017? Excessive Alarming Producers were experiencing erratic readings Need for Section Control Need for additional Speed Input Smaller implements need to be able to set a target rate
Improvements for 2018 • Controlling Alarms • Implement height input on main harness • Alarm auto-hide feature • PWM input on main harness • Swath Control • 10 -section input on main harness • Sections disabled using info from task controller • Other improvements • Auxiliary speed input • Flow meter calibration
