Approval of Memberships Before submission, the general manager must approve all applications for Hotel memberships and applications for Hotel employee memberships if the Hotel’s name is used in anyway in association with a membership. If Marin Management’s name is used is any way in association with a membership the Company’s regional manager must approve the submission of the application. When there is an expense for membership, the general manager may approve the application for membership only if that expense is itemized in the Hotel’s approved Annual Operating Budget. Required Memberships The following organizations are likely candidates for membership by MMI-managed business location: v The local Chamber of Commerce v The local Convention & Visitors Bureau v Business associations, such as the local Downtown Business Association or Airport Business Association For MMI-managed businesses, the regional manager’s approval is required for not being a member of any of the above organizations. Sales Department Participation Our goal is to actively participate in all beneficial events of the sales-related organizations to which we belong, including meetings, committee memberships, board memberships and receptions.
