If cadets are to receive slide #19 as a handout, ensure they are available and suggest do not hand out until relevant time (pens also to be available) Activity #1 15 -minute Slide 2 to 18 with discussion and answer questions on answer screen as necessary. Slide 4 will take longest to explain as it sets context for all other slides. However, in sailing the important factor is which side the boom is. The boom is on the Starboard side of the boat and therefore the boat must be on a Port tack.
