Safety Policy The safety and health of our employees is our foremost business consideration.

Safety Policy The safety and health of our employees is our foremost business consideration. No employee will be required to do a job that he or she considers unsafe. We will comply with all applicable OSHA workplace safety and health requirements and maintain occupational safety and health standards that equal or exceed the best practices in the industry.

Safety Policy We will conduct monthly safety meetings where we will discuss work place safety hazards and the preferred method of reducing the potential of injury or illness. Every employee has a responsibility to identify hazards and unsafe work practices. Managers have the responsibility of reducing hazards to employees and maintaining an injury-free workplace.

Safety Policy We recognize that business owners, managers, and all other employees share responsibility

Safety Policy We recognize that business owners, managers, and all other employees share responsibility for a safe and healthful workplace. Owners are accountable for preventing workplace injuries and illnesses. Suggestions for achieving a safer, healthier workplace will be evaluated. The safety program will be regularly evaluated and adjusted as required to meet our situation. Managers are responsible for supervising and training workers in safe work practices. Managers must enforce organization rules and ensure that employees follow safe practices during their work. Employees are expected to participate in safety and health program activities including a) immediately reporting hazards, unsafe work practices, and accidents to supervisors or a safety committee representative, b) wearing required personal protective equipment, and c) participating in and supporting safety committee activities.

Safety Goals Strive to achieve the goal of zero accidents and injuries. Provide mechanical and physical safeguards wherever they are necessary. Conduct routine safety and health inspections to find and eliminate unsafe working conditions, control health hazards, and comply with all applicable safety and health requirements. Train all employees in safe work practices and procedures. Provide employees with necessary personal protective equipment and train them to use and care for it properly. Enforce organization safety and health rules and require employees to follow the rules as a condition of employment. Investigate accidents to determine the cause and prevent similar accidents.

Safety Meeting Safety meetings are schedule every 6 moths or whenever are needed All employees will participate in the meeting, those that are absent will be briefed by the manager or assistant manager upon their return. Topics will cover shop hazards, seasonal hazards, safe operating procedures and workplace safety inspections.

Hazard Communication Requirements All employees have the right to know about the chemicals they are working with and exposed to. Each location must have a list of chemicals used on site. Chemical Name, Pt Number, NFPA rating Health __ Flammability__ Reactivity__ Other__ Each chemical’s MSDS must be readily available to employees upon request. Frequently this is available on line. Each store should be able access requested MSDS if an OSHA inspector requests, or needs arise.

Use the appropriate tools for the job. Inspect all ladders prior to utilizing it for the job. Stepstools used to access vehicles should be actual stepstools, not five gallon buckets.

Incidents, Injuries, and Near Misses All of the above are required to be reported to the store Manager. An Incident is an event that damages physical property, or interrupts production. An Injury is damage to a person that may require first aid or further medical attention. A Near Miss is what you recognize when someone or something almost was injured or damaged.

All of the above require some level of investigation to determine the causation of the event, and to document how to avoid the same type of occurrence in the future. A manager produces the root cause analysis, and owners review the report. Each root cause should be discussed in the next safety meeting or a meeting should be held to discuss lessons learned.

If an employee has their own Dr. and wishes to see them that is their right. But initial care should be at an urgent care facility.
