Explanation Safety Working Practices are practices that are done to make the work environment safer for the employees. They are often based around Health and Safety, and risk assessments. However, some employers get special equipment for their employees to work at maximum efficiency.
How I am Working Safely • • • We stick to the rules of Health and Safety in the workplace. I have a comfortable chair so my back doesn’t become injured. I make constant saves of my work for the project so to not lose files. All of my wires are contained so I do not trip and/or break them. My food and drink is far away from my Computer. All of my sockets are safe and not overloaded. I have plenty of working space around me. There is a large cooler in the room, keeping the room at a certain temperature. The worktop my Computer rests on is completely stable and strong. I have an effective screen filter that reduces my computers harmful rays, so I don’t strain my eyes. I take regular breaks so I can maximise my time on the computer effectively without causing any kind of injury, like Repetitive Strain Injury; an injury where your wrists and fingers become strained from typing for a long time, which I prevent by taking 5 minute breaks every hour.
