Safe Sanctuary Policy United Methodist Women is committed to creating a safe space for all, particularly young people and vulnerable adults, by following our Safe Sanctuaries policy and we invite you to do the same. In addition to back ground checks and training for staff and volunteers, we ask all those present to follow the “two adult rule. ” This means that no adult should be alone with participants under age 18 or with vulnerable adults.

Come, Thou Fount of Ev’ry Blessing Words: Robert Robinson. Music: NETTLETON. Public domain.
Come, Thou fount of every blessing, Tune my heart to sing Thy grace; Streams of mercy, never ceasing, Call for songs of loudest praise.
Teach me some melodious sonnet, Sung by flaming tongues above. Praise the mount! I'm fixed upon it, Mount of Thy redeeming love.
Here I raise mine Ebenezer; Hither by Thy help I’m come; And I hope, by Thy good pleasure, Safely to arrive at home.
Jesus sought me when a stranger, Wandering from the fold of God; He to rescue me from danger, Interposed His precious blood.
Oh, to grace how great a debtor Daily I’m constrained to be! Let Thy goodness, like a fetter, Bind my wandering heart to Thee.
Prone to wander, Lord I feel it, Prone to leave the God I love; Here’s my heart, O, take and seal it, Seal it for Thy courts above.
Blessed Assurance Words: Fanny Crosby. Tune: ASSURANCE Phoebe Palmer Knapp. Public domain.
Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine! Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine! Heir of salvation, purchase of God, Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.
This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Savior all the day long; This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Savior all the day long.
Perfect submission, perfect delight, Visions of rapture now burst on my sight; Angels, descending, bring from above Echoes of mercy, whispers of love.
This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Savior all the day long; This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Savior all the day long.
Perfect submission, all is at rest, I in my Savior am happy and blest, Watching and waiting, looking above, Filled with His goodness, lost in His love.
This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Savior all the day long; This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Savior all the day long.

ONE: “We assemble because we are a light unto those who seek to find God’s face, illuminating the path toward a faith-filled life in community. ” ALL: “We assemble because we must. ”
ONE: “We assemble because the Table is set before us, for us to partake in the sacredness that is the body and blood of Jesus Christ, a privilege we cherish. ” ALL: “We assemble because we must. ”
ONE: “We assemble because future generations will experience God’s glory because of the work we’ve done the last 150 years!” ALL: “We assemble because we must. ”

BAND: My soul is filled with joy As I sing to God my savior: You have looked upon Your servant, You have visited Your people.
BAND: And holy is Your name Through all generations! Everlasting is Your mercy To the people You have chosen, And holy is Your name.
ONE: I am lowly as a child, But I know from this day forward That my name will be remembered, For all will call me blessed.
ALL: And holy is Your name Through all generations! Everlasting is Your mercy To the people You have chosen, And holy is Your name.
ALL: I proclaim the pow’r of God, You do marvels for Your servants; Though You scatter the proud-hearted And destroy the might of princes.
And holy is Your name Through all generations! Everlasting is Your mercy To the people You have chosen, And holy is Your name.
To the hungry You give food, send the rich away empty. In Your mercy You are mindful of the people You have chosen.
And holy is Your name Through all generations! Everlasting is Your mercy To the people You have chosen, And holy is Your name.
ALL: In Your love You now fulfill What You promised to Your people. I will praise You, Lord, my saviour, Everlasting is Your mercy.
And holy is Your name Through all generations! Everlasting is Your mercy To the people You have chosen, And holy is Your name.

ALL: My heart shall sing of the day you bring. Let the fires of Your justice burn. Wipe away all tears, For the dawn draws near, And the world is about to turn.
BAND: My soul cries out with a joyful shout that the God of my heart is great, And my spirit sings of the wondrous things that you bring to the ones who wait.
You fixed your sight on Your servant's plight, and my weakness you did not spurn, So from east to west shall my name be blest. Could the world be about to turn?
My heart shall sing of the day you bring. Let the fires of Your justice burn. Wipe away all tears, For the dawn draws near, And the world is about to turn.

ALL: My heart shall sing of the day you bring. Let the fires of Your justice burn. Wipe away all tears, For the dawn draws near, And the world is about to turn.
ALL: Though I am small, my God, my all, You work great things in me. And Your mercy will last from the depths of the past to the end of the age to be.
Your very name puts the proud to shame, and those who would for You yearn, You will show Your might, put the strong to flight, for the world is about to turn.
My heart shall sing of the day You bring. Let the fires of Your justice burn. Wipe away all tears, For the dawn draws near, And the world is about to turn.

Here I Am, Lord Words: based on Isaiah, adapt. Dan Schutte. Music: Dan Schutte. © 1991 OCP. All rights reserved. Used by permission One. License. net A 709087.
ALL: I, the Lord of sea and sky I have heard My people cry All who live in deepest sin My hand will save
I, who made the stars of night I will make their darkness bright Who will bear My light to them? Whom shall I send?
Here I am, Lord, Is it I, Lord? I have heard You calling in the night I will go, Lord, if You lead me I will hold Your people in my heart
I, the Lord of wind and flame I will tend the poor and lame I will set a feast for them My hand will save
Finest bread I will provide Till their hearts be satisfied I will give my life to them Whom shall I send?
Here I am, Lord, Is it I, Lord? I have heard You calling in the night I will go, Lord, if You lead me I will hold Your people in my heart
Confession: God of grace and God of glory, we come before you, your humble servants called by you to your will and your way. We come knowing that we have made mistakes. We have excluded new voices from our old traditions.
We have not made a way for those who sit on the margins to join us as United Methodist Women. We have discouraged some who come with new ideas. We have ignored some who speak words we don’t understand don’t bother to translate.
Like Mary, turn us around to look you in the face, to hear your voice as it sings into our ears words of justice, words of peace, words of joy.
One: No matter where we come from, how we get here or where we’ve been, God waits to embrace us in the grip of a fierce and tender love that never lets us go. ALL: Thanks be to God.
Communion Setting Mark A. Miller Please turn to page 35 in the Songbook Companion
ONE: The Lord be with you ALL: And also with you ONE: Lift up your hearts ALL: We lift them up to the Lord ONE: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God ALL: It is right to give our thanks and praise.
ALL: Holy, Holy Lord. God of power and might. Heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest!
Blessed is the one who comes In the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest!
ALL: Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again. Hosanna in the highest!
ALL: Amen. Hosanna in the highest!
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kin-dom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil for thine is the Kin-dom, and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

ALL: Honestly …. I wanna see you be brave! With what you want to say And let the words fall out Honestly I wanna see you be brave
You can be amazing You can turn a phrase into a weapon or a drug You can be the outcast Or be the backlash of somebody’s lack of love
Or you can start speaking up Nothing’s gonna hurt you the way that words do And they settle ‘neath your skin Kept on the inside and no sunlight
Sometimes a shadow wins But I wonder what would happen if you Say what you wanna say And let the words fall out Honestly …. I wanna see you be brave!
With what you want to say And let the words fall out Honestly …. I wanna see you be brave!
Everybody’s been there, everybody’s been stared down By the enemy Fallen for the fear and done some disappearing Bow down to the mighty
Don’t run, stop holding your tongue Maybe there’s a way out of the cage where you live Maybe one of these days you can let the light in Show me how big your brave is
Say what you wanna say And let the words fall out Honestly …. I wanna see you be brave! With what you want to say And let the words fall out Honestly …. I wanna see you be brave!
Innocence, your history of silence Won’t do you any good Did you think it would? Let your words be anything but empty Why don’t you tell them the truth?
Say what you wanna say And let the words fall out Honestly …. I wanna see you be brave! With what you want to say And let the words fall out Honestly …. I wanna see you be brave!
I just wanna see you I wanna see you be brave!
I just wanna see you See you be brave
