Identify Excess Unit Resources t t Coordinate with other functions and identify excess resources. Determine who or what is excess. u Discuss incident priorities and needs with other functions. u Reevaluate unit personnel needs to support the incident. u Identify supplies and equipment that are no longer required or in use. 3
Identify Excess Unit Resources, Cont. u Consider release of personnel and equipment based on national and/or local priorities. u Ensure adequate staff throughout demobilization. t Determine when resources will be excess. u Time and date of excess. 4
Identify Excess Unit Resources, Cont. t Reevaluate and verify excess resources throughout the duration of the incident. u Priorities and needs can change daily. 5
Evaluate Performance of Staff t Discuss performances with individuals. u Complete Incident Personnel Performance Ratings, ICS-225 if required. u. Provide a copy of the rating to the individual. u. List training if needed or desired. u Maintain accuracy and fairness. 6

Demobilization and Check Out t Receive demobilization instructions from logistics section chief/ supervisor. 10
Demobilization and Check Out, Cont. t Brief staff on demobilization procedures and responsibilities. u Post copy of Demobilization Plan. u Emphasize and adhere to rest and release requirements listed in the Demobilization Plan. 11
Demobilization and Check Out, Cont. t Consider the following for supply/equipment demobilization: u Sharps (needles or scalpels) and biohazardous materials u Oxygen bottles u Supplies/equipment from helibase and other locations. 12
