RUS/WEP: Long-Standing Commitment to Investing in Rural America’s Future • 77 years in service to rural America with billions invested in rural water and waste infrastructure • Since 2009: – $9. 5 billion in loans and grants for construction of facilities has been invested. – 5. 13 million households and businesses and 13. 9 million rural residents. – $2. 9 billion leveraged from other sources to partner with our funds and get more projects built. – 3, 923 projects (2. 164 water, 1, 545 sewer, 214 combo) • $115. 9 million invested in technical assistance and training – Led to over 452, 179 technical assistance visits – Thousands of operators, managers and boards trained. – Countless communities assisted during emergencies.
