14 RETIM via EUMETCAST migration § In collaboration with EUMETSAT, we have migrated RETIM 2000 to RETIM on EUMETCAST. – RETIM on EUMETCAST receivers are standard PCs under linux with PCI DVB card. – The system is compatible for a reception on all EUMETCAST receivers – No change for the end user applications – The dissemination from the receiver to the end user application is made through EUMETSAT’s EFTS-AGENTS software § The new system RETIM on EUMETCAST is fully operational and the old system RETIM 2000 was stopped on 16 of August 2010 Jacques Anquetil Météo France RTH Toulouse

17 ODC: Opera Data Center § Operated by UKMO and MF – Load sharing, backup § In January 2011, the ODC will become the European weather radar data centre, in WMO terms a DCPC. § The ODC will enable the creation of high quality radar composites for the European domain, using common processing and compositing algorithms. § The ODC might also act as a data centre, allowing NMS’s to access raw weather radar data from the whole of Europe.
