RT-130 Operation Points of Interest: Sample Rate Groups (2) Thus if 125 sps is

RT-130 Operation Points of Interest: Sample Rate Groups (2) Thus if 125 sps is selected for datastream 1, then datastream 2 will default to 125 sps and so forth. No other choices available. Thus if 40 sps is selected for datastream 1, then datastream 2 can be sampled from any of the choices available in Group 2 and similar for other datastreams.

RT-130 Operation Points of Interest: Pre-event– Buffer Considerations RAM used by a single stream

RT-130 Operation Points of Interest: Pre-event– Buffer Considerations RAM used by a single stream is estimated by: Ex. of 3 channels @ 125 sps w/ 4 sec pre-trigger is: Note:

RT-130 Operation Points of Interest: Pre-event– Buffer Considerations Continued Beginning with firmware version 2.

RT-130 Operation Points of Interest: Pre-event– Buffer Considerations Continued Beginning with firmware version 2. 9. 0, calculations to evaluate available buffers for pre-event memory were changed from: buffer usage to longword usage. Then beginning with 3. 0. 0 the number of longwords was increased to 84, 150 longwords. Longwords are allocated starting at stream 1, then stream 2, then stream 3, etc. until buffers are used up; And memory is divided between the A/D converters. Default usage: (think of a longword as a buffer. ) Continuous stream uses 13 sec of longwords. Triggered stream uses 7 sec + the user specified pre-event time of longwords. Calculation: [(Sample rate * # of channels) + 6] = longwords / second.

RT-130 Operation Points of Interest: Pre-event– Buffer Considerations Continued Example: Stream 1 = 100

RT-130 Operation Points of Interest: Pre-event– Buffer Considerations Continued Example: Stream 1 = 100 sps, 6 channels, continuous trigger [ (100 * 6) + 6] = 606 longwords/second * 13 seconds (continuous) = 7878 Subtract 7878 from 84150 and 76272 longwords left for other streams. Stream 2 = 200 sps, 6 channels, event trigger with 30 seconds pre-event [ (200 * 6) + 6] = 1206 longwords/second * 37 seconds (pre-event + 7 seconds) = 44622 Subtract 44622 from 76272 and 31650 longwords left for other streams. So, one could add a 3 rd continuous stream if you wanted to, or you could increase the pre-event of the second stream by 20 seconds.

RT-130 Operation Points of Interest: Bit Weights The RT-130 uses the Crystal 24 -bit

RT-130 Operation Points of Interest: Bit Weights The RT-130 uses the Crystal 24 -bit chip set. The chip set outputs a limited digital count range of +/- 6, 291, 456 counts for the specific analog full scale input range. The maximum full scale analog input voltage (V fs) corresponds to the maximum full scale digital value. Thus the bit weight for the DAS is: (V fs)/6, 291, 456 The RT-130 has an analog input of 20 V P-P or +/- 10 V. Therefore the True Nominal Bit Weight of the RT-130 is: 1. 589 micro. Volts @ unity gain Note: Other gains available are x 32 & x 100: (V fs)/6, 291, 456/x. Gain)
