ORIGIN! At first, punk came to light about 1975 as a juvenile cultural manifestation that looked like the one frorm 1950 and 1960 decades. It was characterized by a music, fashion and behavior based style.

PUNK MOVEMENT! The Punk movement is sort of an organized an unified way to act or protest, in order to reach objectives, beeing political - desired in many different ways by the subgroups of the movement - or simply the preservation and resistance of the punk culture, as a cultural form deliberately marginal and alternative to the culture.

The first punk manifestation, thepunk rock, first rised in United States with the band Ramones, about 1974, 1974 and was characterized by a revivalism of rock and roll culture (short, simple and dancing musics) and rocker/greaser style (leather jackets - biker style -, white shirts, jeans, sneaker or boots, and celebration to youth, fun, and rebellion).

PUNK FASHION The fashion is alike the music. The term "Fashion" however, is not accepted by most of the punks, for sounding like something too "commercial". Usually they use the term "style", meaning "clothing as a social affirmation", or even more usually, “visual”, wich is used in almost all kinds of Brazilian subcultures, not only punk.
