The Rotary Foundation – Future Vision • Started in 1917 • First Ambassadorial Scholar in 1947 – More than 40, 000 scholars (700 in 2009 -10 in 80 different countries) • First Matching Grant in 1965 – More than 33, 000 grants in 201 countries totalling more than $397 million • Group Study Exchange began in 1965 • Polio Eradication began in 1985 – More than 2 billion children immunized – 1, 294 cases in 2010 – 78 to date for 2011 (55 to date for 2010) • World Peace Fellows started in 2002, more than 480 fellows Slide 4

Permanent Fund • Charitable Gift Annuity – Minimum donation of $10, 000 – Lifelong series of payments – Partial charitable contribution deduction. – Portion of the annuity payments during the early years are returned tax-free. – Major Donor – Earnings fund district projects forever Slide 21
