So What’s a POD • • A POD is a team of 3 to 15 members The club is divided into 3 to 5 Pods. Assign each month to a POD. Appoint a leader for each POD
Pods and Meetings • When a Pod's month comes up they: – – – – Pre-arrange speakers Set the agenda for the President Set-up and tear-down the room Provide the attendance taker Lead the National Anthem Say grace Introduce and thank the speaker supply the sergeant-at-arms
Pods and Events • During the month, the POD: – Runs all official events • i. e. Joint meeting with other clubs, District Governors visit. – In months without official events, they run a social. • i. e. Bowling night, Barbecue, Halloween Party – Sets a meeting theme • i. e. Literacy day, poor boys lunch, Hawaiian day
Pods and Major Fundraisers • Pods are assigned components of the event. – i. e. ticket sales, cooking, set-up, bingo
Pods • It is a team of fellow Rotarians who get together to have the best meeting in town. • It is an opportunity for you to get involved in Rotary. • It is your opportunity to make a difference.

How Often ? • Four times a year you will be responsible for the month. • POD # 1 July, Oct, Jan, April • POD #2 Aug, Nov, Feb, May • POD #3 Sept, Dec, March, June
No Surprises! • You know when it is your month! • You can plan ahead • You will get ideas by watching what other Pods do. • You can have a lot of FUN!!!!
