Finance Update - Girls • 2020 fee summary: • Addition of $15 for shooter shirts for all girls summer programs (costs rolled into the registration fee in 2020 vs buying separately) • 10 U, 12 U, 14 U girls costs increased to reflect an additional tournament • We are projecting to break even as an overall program for 2020. Several age groups are projected to incur a loss, which are typically associated when there are smaller teams and the fixed costs are allocated to fewer players, such as evaluations, tournament fees, governing body fees, paid coaches, indoor time, etc • Fundraising and donations are invested in the program to benefit everyone: • Equipment (nets, goalie equipment, etc. ) • Coaching development

GIRLS SEASON STRUCTURE �April: Skill sessions in Irish Dome ▪ 1 - 2 times per week �May - Early August: Outdoor practices, games, and tournament ▪ Practices and games – approximately three times per week ▪ 8 U/10 U will play at Fieldstone in Lakeville (near Hy-Vee) ▪ 12 U/14 U will play at Flint Hills Athletic Complex

GIRLS SEASON MAY - AUGUST �May: ▪ Outside practices and scrimmages start (approx. 2 practices per week) �June and July: ▪ Outside practices 2 -3 times a week ▪ Approximately 8 games against other MSLAX teams �August: ▪ End of season MSSLAX tournament July 31 st - August 2 nd
GIRLS TEAM FORMATION �Target is for teams to be formed by the first week of May � 8 U: MSLAX does not have different levels ▪ If we have more than one team, coaches and board attempt to make the teams competitively even � 10 U/12 U/14 U: MSLAX offers “A” and “B” divisions ▪ If we have more than one team, we must have at least one “A” team ▪ Any players that are playing on our high school team must play on a “A” team for the summer ▪ Based on current projections, we expect to have one A and one B team at the 12 U and possibly the 10 U level. ▪ Tryouts are scheduled for May 5 th and May 6 th
EVALUATION PROCESS FOR GIRLS YOUTH LACROSSE �Evaluations: ▪ Evaluations will be run by the outside evaluators ▪ Board Members and Coaches that do NOT have players in that age group will participate in the evaluations as volunteers ▪ Players will be scored on athleticism, lacrosse IQ, lacrosse skills. Players will be given a combined score for both days. ▪ Players are required to attend both days of evaluations, this is mandatory.
EVALUATION PROCESS FOR GIRLS YOUTH LACROSSE �Evaluations (Continued) ▪ No adjustments will be made to the A team once selected ▪ If there are 3 or more teams at an age level, one A team then equal B teams will be formed ▪ The board’s evaluation committee will select the equal B teams, based on evaluation scores and input from age group coordinators, past and current coaches. ▪ Teams will be posted by end of day Friday May 8 th. ▪ NO spectators are allowed during the evaluations �Players not available for evaluations ▪ Players not able to participate in evaluations for medical reasons will be provided an alternate evaluation process per our current policy document. ▪ Players unable to attend any of the evaluation days for reasons other than medical, will automatically be placed on a B team.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT �Lacrosse goggles �Lacrosse stick �Mouth guard (colored) �Tennis shoes or cleats (not metal) �Goalie equipment is provided for all teams �Uniform tops and shorts will be provided in late May
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED �Coaching ▪ Goal is to have a parent or college age Head Coach with a high school player as Assistant Coach for each team ▪ We have a few dedicated and great adult coaches at all levels - Thank you! ▪ Please volunteer as a coach, especially at 8 U/10 U level ▪ If interested, we will get you up-to-speed ▪ April Skills Sessions are a good way to learn from others �Team Managers ▪ Helps coaches with communication, website, and organizing
DIBS Hours �The Rosemount Youth Lacrosse Association (RYLA) has implemented a requirement that each family participating in RYL will be responsible for fulfilling two (2) volunteer hours. The hours will be administered through the dibs system in Sports. Engine. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED �Coaching ▪ We need parent volunteer coaches for IP, 8 U, 10 U (Spring and Summer). Don’t be afraid to volunteer as a coach. If interested, we will get you up-to-speed. ▪ We will have paid coaches for all Summer 12 U and 14 U teams �Team Managers ▪ Helps coaches with communication, website, and organizing volunteers for games �Chill Managers ▪ Chill stands for Cool Heads Instill Life Lessons ▪ Team parent who is responsible for monitoring to ensure all players, coaches, and spectators are being respectful and showing good sportsmanship to all.

OTHER SUMMER OPPORTUNITIES �Boys Lacrosse Face Off and Shooting Camp (grades 3 -9) ▪ Improve and develop two of the most crucial lacrosse skills that have a large impact on your game! During the first half of camp, players will work on the fundamentals of a lacrosse shot from multiple dimensions of the lacrosse field. The second half of the camp will focus on the intricate art of the face off. Learn multiple moves and counter moves to the face off. Players will see the impact on their game by taking more shots and more face offs than they will see all season! �Boys Lacrosse 3 on 3 Fast Break Camp (grades 3 -9) ▪ In the game of lacrosse, over 70% of goals are scored during fast break and odd man situations. Learn the skills and techniques needed to master fast break offensive and defensive situations. Players will be trained by a camp staff made up of local high school coaches and varsity players who have over 30 years of experience combined. Daily sessions will include odd man situations, fast break drills, fast whistle restarts and small game 3 v 3 competitions. Small games situations will increase the number of repetitions and touches you will experience with the ball. Each daily session will conclude with tournament.
