Focus What? We will look at Lord Capulet’s decision making skills. We will start to think about an important decision Juliet has to make. How? We will discover what we learn about Lord Capulet from the decisions he makes. We will read Act 4 scene 1 and think about a decision Juliet has to make. Why? To continue exploring theme of decisions in relation to some of the main characters.

Write down at least three adjectives to describe Capulet and Juliet’s relationship at this point in the play.

Lord Capulet’s Decisions… What different decisions does Lord Capulet make throughout the play? Working in pairs, make a list of all the decisions he makes. You should include everything we have looked at in class, as well as finding your own examples. Start with the decisions he makes at the beginning of the play and work your way through.

What do all of Lord Capulet’s decisions show us about his character? He is INDECISIVE – he is unable to make definite decisions.

Juliet’s Response Juliet has to make an important decision after the row with her father. What would you do in Juliet’s position? Make some bullet points of her different options.
