Plot • In this book, the Capulets and the Montagues are two rival family's.

Plot • In this book, the Capulets and the Montagues are two rival family's. Juliet is attending a costume ball thrown by her parents. Her father Fulgencio Capulet has arranged her marriage to the boorish Paris as part of a strategic investment plan. Romeo attends the masked ball and he and Juliet fall in love. It ends in Romeo and Juliet getting married secretly and Romeo is banned by the prince for killing Tybalt ( Juliet's cousin) in a street fight. Juliet cry's for days over Romeo and her parents want her to marry Paris she then fakes her death with the help of the friar and Romeo is to come help her escape he didn’t know the whole plan and thought she died also. He drinks a poison and then Juliet wakes up to see him and Paris dead so she takes his dagger and ends her life for real this time.

Setting • The setting of Romeo and Juliet takes place, most generally, in the cities of Verona and Mantua, Italy, over the course of four short days.

Plot diagram • Exposition- Romeo shows his lust for Rosaline; Normal conversations in Montague and Capulet families; Mercutio makes fun of Romeo because of Rosaline's intent to never marry. Initiation- Romeo meets Juliet at the Capulet house and completely forgets about Rosaline. Rising action- Romeo needs to secretly marry Juliet fearing that a Capulet and Montague would never be allowed to marry. Climax – Tybalt kills Mercutio, then Romeo kills Tybalt. The prince arrives and orders Romeo be banished from Verona. Falling action- Paris will soon be married to Juliet, and the Capulets do not know about Juliet's secret marriage. Juliet decides to fake her death with a poison from the friar. Resolution- Romeo hears of Juliet's death and buys poison off the street, arrives at her tomb and so does Paris they fight , Paris is killed and then Romeo lays beside her and dies from the poison drink. Juliet is awoken and sees it all and then kills herself with Romeos dagger, the two families are horrified and decide to make up and be friends again.
