Including 56 km main route and 26 km sub route • Japan conducted detailed development survey for North-South Speed Railway • 1 st Thailand-Myanmar Friendship Bridge: Thailand has started rehabilitation since 2011 • 2 nd Thailand-Myanmar Friendship Bridge: Site selection has been proceeding by Thailand Myanmar Lach Huyen Seaport and its access road to Hanoi Thilawa Industrial Zone ・ Located near Yangon with Myanmar’s keen interests Myanmar ・ Japan and Viet Nam signed Exchange Note (E/N) and Loan Agreement (L/A) in October 2011 • Funded by Viet Nam, Hanoi-Hai Phong Hignway is under • In Feasibility Study (F/S) stage and to be developed by construction, targeting completion by the end of 2014 Vung Ang Seaport and its access road to 3 rd Mekong Bridge Dawei Seaport and its access road to Thai border ・Connecting Road from Vientiane to Viet Nam border was constructed with international standard • Vung Ang Seaport has commenced its operation by joint venture management company financed by Viet Nam and Lao PDR ・ Thailand Myanmar have been jointly proceeding the development • the access road to Dawei was officially recognized as a part of South Economic Corridor at ADB GMS Summit in 2011 Completed 3 rd Mekong Bridge Development of Thai-Myanmar border ・Supported by Thailand, the bridge was constructed and start operation on 11 th November 2011 ・ Thailand has been promoting the development of Thai. Myanmar border including Kanchanaburi area Neak Loeung Bridge ・ Funded by JICA, bridge construction was started in February 2011, to be completed in March 2015. Ranong Seaport and its access road to Bangkok ・ Access road to Bangkok has been well-maintained by Thailand Cai Mep-Thi Vai Seaport and its access road to HCMC • Port capacity should be strengthened for further utilization ・ Port construction was commenced in October 2008, to be completed in November 2013 Koh Kong Industrial Zone ・ Industrial Park in the border area between Thailand Cambodia • Already developed and additional electricity supply is under consideration Road Upgrading of Southern Economic Corridor ・National Route 1 (Cambodia): Grant assistance for upgrading the route has been provided since 2005, and preparatory survey on Phase 4 construction was conducted in Sept 2011 • National Route 5 (Cambodia): Preparatory survey on upgrading the road will be completed in Apr 2012 Projects under MJ-CI Action Plan Newly Emerging Development Plans
