However many institutions are not engaging with CERIF • experience of CERIF mediated by CRIS software used • most have basic understanding of CERIF • rely on vendor, and expertise in UK user groups • only JISC projects are properly engaging with CERIF • many are keen to engage more (lack time, REF…) – concern that lack of understanding will hinder their CRIS use • CERIF expertise beneficial for CRIS implementation process, enabling better exploitation, challenging vendors… www. ukoln. ac. uk A centre of expertise in digital information management
