What is a right? Is an entitlement to perform or not to perform certain actions, either legally or morally. With each right that a person possesses, there is a corresponding duty or responsibility.
What is responsibility? Having a duty and being accountable for one’s actions. Eg. For each driver they have a right to drive on public roads but a responsibility to follow the laws and rules of the road
Right and Privilege Activity Complete the activity in your booklet and identify whether you think each item is a right or a privilege.

Personal Rights within Relationships Review the personal bill of rights within your booklet.
Relationship Responsibilities Accept the other person as an individual Respect and value each other’s rights. Discuss all aspects of the relationship, including sexual health Listen actively and support each other Honour the mutually agreed upon decisions Make and allow each other to make personal decisions Dignify the relationship by not pressuring each other into doing things that they don’t want to do.
