RIDDOR REPORTING OF INJURIES, DISEASES AND DANGEROUS OCCURRENCES • • All employers and people who are in control of work premises have duties under RIDDOR. All work related incidents and accidents must be reported to RIDDOR and applies to all work activities.

WHY REPORT ALL ACCIDENTS AND ILL HEALTH MUST BE REPORTED AS A LEGAL REQUIREMENT

WHY REPORT ALL ACCIDENTS AND ILL HEALTH MUST BE REPORTED AS A LEGAL REQUIREMENT IN ORDER FOR THE HSE AND LOCAL AUTHORITIES TO ACCESS ALL RISKS AND INVESTIGATE SERIOUS ACCIDENTS. ADVICE IS ALSO GIVEN TO REDUCE THE ANY INJURY, ILL HEALTH AND ACCIDENTAL LOSS. WHEN TO REPORT DEATH OR SERIOUS INJURIES IF AN EMPLOYEE OR SELF-EMPLOYED PERSON SUFFERS A MAJOR INJURY OR DEATH, INCLUDING AS THE RESULT OF PHYSICAL VIOLENCE DEATH OF A MEMBER OF PUBLIC DO NOT HESITATE TO NOTIFY THE ENFORCING AGENCY GIVING DETAILS ON YOUR BUSINESS, THE INJURED PARTY AND THE ACCIDENT
